WHAT OTHERS SAY ABOUT 'COUNTRY FEELIN'S'
Here are just some of the comments and reviews of George Day's 'Country Feelin's' CD!!
JAY TAYLOR, COUNTRY MUSICAL TRAILS LESS TRAVELED (May/June, 2000):
"The title song and the cover photo which shows a log home with a rock garden and azaleas in bloom are almost worth the price of the CD. 'Country Feelin's' is one of the best country songs I've heard in a long time. Most of the songs, including this one, have a melody that you could hum or whistle. The 'acoustic only' folks will probably object to the electric bass, and occasional drums and piano, but you'll miss some really good songs if you pass this one by. This one is highly recommended. As I said, the title song alone is worth the price."

HOWARD VOKES, COUNTRY MUSIC PROMOTER and FORMER STARDAY RECORDING ARTIST:
"A fine vocal and writing job and excellent sound/musicianship. One thing for sure, these are some fine country songs, and a great production job."

GARY BUCK, PRESIDENT-BROADLAND INTERNATIONAL, NASHVILLE, TN and BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEMBER, COUNTRY LEGENDS ASSOCIATION:
"George does a great job of Traditional Country and the CD has a real cross-section and variety of country songs and subjects."

MULE DOG MAGAZINE (November, 2000): "Tom Wardle's songwriting talent and promotional skills (Down Home Country Promotions) are major factors of 'Country Feelin's' success. Nine of the 17 songs were written by Tom and the other 8 by George himself. "This is a nice, straight-forward look at traditional country with some really good songs that I'm sure many of our readers will really like."

LE CRI du COYOTE (France Review of American Music) (May/June, 2000)"150% traditional, this record has the flavor and the voice of Johnny Cash at his beginning. Some of the songs literally sound like standards (You Should Know By Now, Ballad of George, Where You Left Me, Beer on the Bar). Resolutely anchored apart from the modern Music City, these two irreductible guys (the songwriters, Tom Wardle & George Day) may almost be taken for rebels. A great thumb one's nose at the marketing of the major companies."

THIRD COAST MUSIC, July, 2000: (4-star rating) ".....Day hits some 100-proof homers. "You Should Know By Now", "She's Just an Old Time Memory", Blue Lonesome Blues", and "Beer on the Bar" are all the twangy stuff of swollen tear ducts and 12-beer hangovers, laced with a pungent blend of steel, fiddle, and trickling honky-tonk piano.....Day is the real deal and certainly a litmus for those who think they like traditional or 'real' country music..........you just gotta love the pure-as-Pabst Blue Ribbon, lay-it-on-heavy brand of traditional country music he serves up. HNC it ain't. Recommended it is."

TOBIAS HULTQVIST, SWEDEN, NASHVILLE SHOWCASE REVIEWS, August, 2000: "What a relief to listen to George's new album! This is how country music should sound. Plain, straight and country to the bone. Listen to tear-stained ballads, catchy tunes and honky-tonk songs. Every DJ out there must have this collection.......this is good!! George's voice reminds me of Johnny Cash and Larry Kingston. It's deep and honest.....made for country music. My favorite tracks are "Beer on the Bar", "Blue Lonesome Blues", Losin' My Life", and of course, the title track that gives me true "Country Feelin's".
